Fig Group: The Story Behind the Name and Our Mission in MSP Compliance
The meaning of Fig Group today: a UK business connecting MSP compliance software, security services and licensed certification assessments.

Section 01
Fig Group: The Story Behind the Name and Our Mission in MSP Compliance
Fig Group is our business name. It does not expand to Financial Institutions Group, the term used for some investment banking teams. The distinction is about the name; financial services organisations are among the clients our cybersecurity and compliance services can support.
Section 02
What the name represents today
Our work joins two related needs: software for ongoing compliance and security oversight, and formal assessments when a customer needs certification. Fig Technology Ltd provides the platform for MSP client workspaces, evidence, risk and monitoring workflows. Fig Compliance Ltd delivers Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and Defence Cyber Certification Level 0 and Level 1 assessments under the relevant IASME licences.
Fig Group is the fastest Cyber Essentials provider in our named-provider comparison, with a six-working-hour guarantee for qualifying Basic submissions. The clock starts when we receive a complete, compliant submission before midday UK time on a UK business day. Clarification and remediation are excluded; the guarantee does not apply to Plus or Defence Cyber Certification. Read the turnaround evidence and terms.
For an MSP, this means a way to organise client readiness work, track findings and report progress while keeping its client relationship. The MSP, client and Fig Group agree delivery responsibilities before work begins. A software dashboard or framework mapping does not itself issue a certificate; an assessment against the relevant scheme is still required.
The MSP offering explains the partnership models and services. About Fig Group sets out the company roles and our wider purpose.
Section 03
The work ahead
We aim to make compliance work easier to organise and explain across multiple clients. Evidence may be shared by a customer with its broker or insurer; Fig Group does not provide or arrange insurance. Our software and certification services have distinct scopes, so customers can see what is included before they commit.
